the special order oversized carved walnut case elaborately decorated with acanthus leaves, rosettes, and raised burl walnut panels, the dial with black Roman hour numerals, sub seconds and blued pierced diamond hands, the brass 8-day weight driven time only movement with Graham deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, Geneva stop, double steel rod and brass keystone and pierced brass A-frame pulley with spoked wheel with quality brass covered weight, the mercurial four-jar compensating pendulum with four leaf and vine etched glass jars with brass frame and long steel rod, dial and movement marked "E. Howard & Co., Boston," pendulum numbered "112" over "2972 - P, 6, G"

    Condition:
  • Excellent overall condition, retains the original finish, no damage or loss to the case, has minor repairs to the burled lower apron trim, missing beat indicator, functions properly (1-hour test).
