Elmer O. Stennes Lyre Banjo Clock. Original 7.5 in. painted metal domical dial signed Elmer O. Stennes, Weymouth, Mass, has black Roman hour numerals, typical blued hands and brass bezel; brass 8 day weight driven time only movement signed “E. Howard & Co., Boston – 70”, has steel pendulum rod with brass covered bob, lead weight and painted red weight baffle. Carved mahogany case has a leaf carved finial, lyre shaped throat with scrolling leaf carvings, reverse painted throat glass with gilt leaf filigree and figure of a standing woman, leaf carved bracket with teardrop final. In very good condition and original finish. 42.5 in. high x 11.5 in. wide x 4.75 in. deep. Weight: 18 lbs.
