FRENCH EMPIRE EBONIZED LYRE CLOCK - VINCENTI 1855. The ebonized wooden lyre case has gilt bronze mounts with empire style molded and floral decoration. Between the two arms of the lyre is a relief medallion showing a man playing a lyre with tall cornucopias on either side. The pendulum is highly decorative showing a swinging putti surrounded in filigree. The time and strike 8 day movement has a 4"enamel dial, signed Vincenti 1855. 8"W x 23"H x 5"D.
