German Sterling Animated Bird Box Timepiece. Beautiful sterling silver oval box covered with relief filigree decoration; the top of the box has a small hinged lid decorated with musical instruments and bordered in powder blue enamel beading. Pull the lever and a bird pops up from under the lid, it swivels, flaps its wings and whistles a tune. The front of the case is set with a small timepiece.
