E. HOWARD & CO. #61 ASTRONOMICAL FLOOR REGULATOR. This is a time only weight driven floor standing astronomical regulator. This clock has a 14 inch white painted dial with wood bezel. This clock stands 7 feet 10 inches high, has a solid massive brass movement with jeweled pallets and a graham dead beat escapement. The movement is a model #3 movement. The case has been refinished and has a chip to the carving on the left rear top of the crest. The dial has been refinished. The hands are typical and are in the Howard style. The pendulum has a four jar mercury bob. The clock has a Howard fancy brass pulley with typical Howard brass weight. The weight is compounded once and runs down the side of the case. The clock has a silvered regulator. Half of the Geneva stop is missing. This clock is from a private collector and has never been offered for sale. It is set up and running. 31"W x 94"H x 4"D.
