Description:

Tommaso Campaiola (20th C. Italy) Figural Bronze Grouping "Rape Of The Sabine Women". After the classic 16th century sculpture by Giambologna. The scene depicts 3 nude figures, one man kneeling on the ground and shielding himself under a standing man who is straddling over him as he carries away an abducted woman. In very good condition of fine quality, has a very nice dark brown patina; signed T. Campaiola. 48.5 in. high x 16 in. wide x 19 in. deep.
