A Rare "Turtle-Back" Chandelier from the Personal Collection of Louis Comfort Tiffany, Laurelton Hall

The chandelier was in the personal collection of Louis Comfort Tiffany. It was installed at his Laurelton Hall estate in Laurel Hollow, New York and subsequently sold in the historic auction of the contents of Laurelton Hall at Parke Bernet galleries in 1946.

  • Condition: The shade in excellent overall condition with only 5 hairline cracks dispersed throughout. There are no cracks in the "Turtle-Back" tiles. Retains the original sockets and shade cape with some wear to the gilding. The chains and ceiling canopy are a well-matched addition.
