Limited documentation shows that "little is known of this firm which produced a line of high grade regulators around 1870 and sold them through the depot of "Terhune & Edwards" located at 18 Cortlandt St. in New York City. The case has an old refinish and is in excellent condition. The 14"silvered dial is dirty and has some staining. It would benefit from a professional cleaning.
