Early 16th Century Wrought Iron Tower Clock. Clock has a wrought iron bird cage frame with keyed through tenon construction, fancy scrolled corbels and spire points at the peak of the corner posts; weight driven movement has a verge escapement with foliot balance at the top with crown wheel, the 3 train movement has an quarter hour strike with governor fly wheel assembly on the front and back and hour count wheel strike. Movement does not have hands, weights or pulleys and is missing 2 tenon wedges. Movement measures 32 in. high x 27 in. wide x 32 in. deep. On a rough cut 4x4 wood stand with pegged construction measuring 25 in. high x 27 in. wide x 25 in. deep.
