18K Augusta Saltzman Open Faced Pocket Watch. Porcelain dial signed "Auguste Saltzman" has black Roman hour numerals, sweep 5 second numbers, gilt open moon hands, sweep seconds hand with counterbalance and sub jump quarter seconds dial; double spring driven size 18s movement signed "Augusta Saltzman, Chaux De Fonds, No. 1282, Patented June 1858, Isochronal vibrations, indep't quarter seconds, lever escapement, 30 ruby jewels, compensated balance", has fancy shaped plates, key wind, key set. In an open faced case marked "Warranted, 18, Carat Fine" with serial number 1282 on both covers matching the movement number and beveled crystal. Movement is wound tight and not running, case in good condition with no damage. Case measures 55mm dia. Weight: 5.23 oz. (148.2g and 95.3 dwt).
