Description:

Capodimonte Ceramic of Greek Mythology Characters. The Naples, Italy, Capodimonte, 18th century grouping depicts Hercules embracing his wife, Deianeira, and in the foreground, Nessus is lying down with his left arm raised, and Poseidon is being embraced by a woman while he pours water from an amphora; all being supported by an oval base. Crowned "N" impressed on the bottom. Repair to the arm of Hercules, break to a plant, breaks to the head coverings on Poseidon and the woman embracing him. Dimensions: 16 1/4 in. wide x 13 3/4 in. high. Weight: 10.15 lbs.
