A statement from the consignor: I purchased this vehicle from the editor of Parade magazine in 1990. After purchasing the car, it went through a full body-off restoration, making it a #1 National Award Winner. This car attracted Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones to launch their "Bridges to Bablyon" Tour in 1997. I was very excited to meet the Rolling Stones and share my car with them for the day. Mick Jagger was behind the wheel, Keith Richards was on the passenger side, Charlie Watts was behind Mick and Ron Wood was next to Charlie Watts, behind Keith. They drove the car from The River Café in Brooklyn followed by 20+ motorcycle police, and a helicopter hovered overhead taping their drive to Manhattan. They drove my car to New York and then turned around and came back to Brooklyn while the press for all over the world watched it on a screen from The River Cafe. Mick drove my car right up the front stage and he went on stage. One of the many questions that the press asked Mick was "How did you like your ride over the Brooklyn Bridge?” He answered, "It was one of the finest rides that I have had." Even though this car drives well and appears to be in excellent condition, it is being sold as-is and where-is with no warrantees or guarantees as to condition or otherwise. If for any reason, Fontaine's is not able to provide the proper documentation to transfer ownership of this car from the consignor to the buyer in a reasonable time period, it is agreed that Fontaine’s will refund the total purchase price to the buyer and the sale of this car will be rescinded.
