Description:

Always Did Spise A Mule Cast Iron Mechanical Bank, by J. & E. Stevens; c. 1897. Seated figure of a man on a log with coin holder slot behind him and standing figure of a mule face to face, when the button is pressed the mule kicks its rear legs out as it rotates around knocking the man backwards and dropping the coin into the base. Original painted surface has an orange base with black & yellow highlights, green grass top, brown mule and colorful clothing on the figure; in good working and original condition. 6 in. high x 3 in. wide x 10 in. long.
