AMES MODEL 1832 ARTILLERY SHORT SWORD W/ SCABBARD FROG AND BELT. Signed on the blade "N.P. Ames Springfield - U.S. 1835" (Massachusetts); has a cast fish scale handle with round pommel and cast spread winged eagle with shield and a cross-type bar quillon. Blade has some light rusting, handle is in very good shape, original frog and belt are in excellentcondition, tip of scabbard has been separated where the leather meats the metal. 26"W x 4"H.
