Astronomical Regulator No.67. Original E. Howard & Co. movement in an after market case. 14 in. brass dial signed "E. Howard & Co., Boston", has black incised 5 minute numbers on the sweep dial, in the center is a 3.5 in. sub seconds dial over a 3.5 in. sub hour dial and a carved walnut bezel; quality brass weight driven time only movement signed "E. Howard & Co., Boston", has pyramidal plates, Graham deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, 6 spoke brass pulley, brass covered weight and a 4 glass jar mercurial compensating brass pendulum with steel rod. In a carved walnut after market case style No. 67, not manufactured by E. Howard Co. with broken arched crest, carved bull's head bust, turned finials, raised panels, carved corbels and lower bracket. In good condition and original finish; case is signed with a metal tag "The E. Howard Clock Co., Established 1843, Waltham, Mass., U.S.A.". 93 in. high x 31 in. wide x 10.5 in. deep.
