circa 1780
the mahogany case with a bonnet top decorated with a pierced carved crest, turned brass finials and open glass apertures on the sides for viewing the movement, the dial having moon phases and Roman hour numerals, brass 8-day weight-driven movement with inverted "T" shaped plates, passing hour strike on a bell and a solid brass pulley, movement marked by a clockmaker "C.R.C., C.R. Crookshank"
