CARVED MAHOGANY BOMBAY GRANDFATHER CLOCK. The clock has fancy blued hands, solid brass round dial with worn silvered chapter ring. The round dial has an applied large brass Arabic hour numerals and black minute markers, fancy brass decorative center with silvered seconds bit with 10 second Arabic numerals. The dial has levers for "Chime /Silent" and "strike silent". The movement is a massive top quality German weight driven brass 8 day time, strike and chime on coiled cathedral anvils. The hour strike is on a large coiled anvil. The coiled anvil support is broken and has been repaired in the past. The clock has a nice steel pendulum rod, heavy large brass bob and three quality brass weights. The case is a massive mahogany carved case hall clock with beveled glass arched door and nicely carved bonnet. 25"W x 91"H x 12"D. Estimated Value $10,000 - 15,000.
