Chelsea Helm Ships Bell Clock. 5 in. silvered dial signed "Chelsea, Ship's Bell" with black incised hour numbers and blued open moon hands; brass 8 day spring driven movement signed "Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, USA" and numbered 308289, has a lever escapement with balance wheel and a ship's bell strike on a coiled gong. In a brass ships wheel case with hinged door bezel, splayed base, 2 tone finish and mahogany back and bottom with matching number. In running condition, base is engraved "To Our Chief And Colleague, Francis L. Lederer, Mc-V S-USNR, as a token of our Esteem, July 1942". 17 in. high x 12.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.
