Chinese Double Fusee Teak Bracket Clock. 7 in. porcelain dial with black Roman hour numerals, pierced black hands and sweep seconds hand, brass back plate surrounds dial; brass double fusee movement has verge crown-wheel escapement, steel pendulum stick with brass bob, engraved plates appear to read “Shanghai”, quarter hour strike on 2 bells, one double bell strike on the quarter, one bell then double strikes on the half hour, 3 double bells at three-quarters and double bell hour strike. Excellent 3 pc. pierced carved teak wood base with 4 legs, filigree carved center section with single drawer and round “prosperity” symbol carved in the sides and has a rectangular box top with glass side panels under pierced carved panels, sliding front and rear access panels. Clean enhanced original finish, dial has a minor edge chip at 10, minute hand needs some adjustment to seat properly on post, time mechanism is not running though the springs wind and hold power, strike mechanism is functional. 24.75 in. high x 14 in. wide x 11.25 in. deep. Weight: 25 lbs.
