Civil War Cartridge Box. Large cartridge box with "US" in an oval embossed on front flap and two metal compartments in the inside. The inner flap is marked "WM Jones" over "US" over "Ord. Dept." over "Sub Inspector" in an oval and "E. Metzger" over "Phila" also in an oval. One of the bottom buckles is missing. There is a faint signature on the back side of the front flap that looks like "GK Allen". There is a leather loop with an eye hook mounted on the top of this box.
