Description:

CONFEDERATE BELT WITH BUCKLE & CARTRIDGE BOX. Hand made Confederate cartridge box and leather belt with buckle. Box is made out of sheet copper riveted together with a wooden base and wood blocks that hold 19 rounds of pre-loaded ammo. Copper is screwed into the wood bottom with 18 screws. Top of the box is decorated with 4 stars and 21 round rivet heads. Lid closes with a spring loaded catch. Thick leather belt is decorated with 11 crosses and 6 vertical slits for adjustment. Buckle is an old style American eagle with E Pluribus Unum. This outfit has the look and feel of Texas on it and I'm sure it's no accident that the buckle with E Pluribus Unum is mounted upside down. A unique piece of Civil War history. 44"W x 3"H x 3"D. Estimated Value $3,000 - 4,000.
