Austrian Dore Bronze Silk Thread Portico Clock & Dome. The fancy engraved silvered inset dial has a 5.25 in. chapter ring with black painted Roman hour numerals, original blued hands and fancy bezel. Has a quality 3 wind spring driven silk thread movement, quarter hour strike on 2 coiled gongs, has silent-strike lever behind the dial; on the hour the movement triggers a music box contained in the base which plays a song, the movement is signed Willenbacher & Rzebitschek in Prag, No. 712, (circa 1828-1842). The early bronze case has 2 tapered columns with acorn finials on top, a lyre shaped back piece with hanging ribbons and engraved foot; has an oval wood ebonized base with gilt decorated border and glass dome top. Clock is in good overall condition; paper label on the bottom. 18 in. high x 13 in. wide x 7 in. deep
