E.N. Welch Wall Regulator. Original 7 in. paper dial with black Roman numerals, brass bezel, original black hands, brass 8 day spring driven time only movement signed “E.N. Welch Mfg. Co., Forestville, Conn.”, has a long gridiron pendulum with silvered bob having a relief decorated scene with cupid riding a lion which is reared back by a snake. In a wonderful carved walnut Renaissance Revival style case with shell carved crest and maidens head, turned corner finials, cornucopia corbels with lion head rosettes and shell carved pendant crest, all with gilt incised highlights. In very good condition having a deep red-brown enhanced original finish, no model name known for this case. 30.5 in. high x 16.5 in. wide x 5 in. deep. Weight: 8.5 lbs.
