Mid 19th Century English Sterling Silver Tilting Teapot on Stand w/ Burner. A scroll decorated handle, hinged domical lid with floral finial, the bulbous body has an engraved filigree design and lion's head monogram; gadrooned spout. The reticulated base has swirling filigree and scrolled leaf feet with a burner inside. Signed with London, Sterling, 1843 and Duty marks, also makers mark for John Angell & George Angell (JA over & over GA into a quatrefoil). 6.5 in. high x 11 in. wide x 8 in. deep; total weight 79 oz.
