ELMER O. STENNES BANJO CLOCK. Early Elmer O. Stennes, Weymouth Mass. weight driven banjo clock in cross banded wood case with large gilt eagle. Weight driven 8 day time only brass movement signed E. Howard & Co. Boston. The clock has a typical pendulum rod. The brass bob has a dedication to George A. Potter, February 1950. The reverse painted throat and door glasses are both in very good condition in the Willard style. All glue blocks in the case appear to be intact and original. The dial is original with very few minor imperfections. The hands are typical and original, they are blued with light surface rust imperfections. This is a very early example of an Elmer O. Stennes banjo clock. The clock has brass side arms, the left side arm is a bit loose. 10"W x 34.5"H x 3.5"D.
