Southern Calendar Fashion No. 2 Double Dial Calendar Clock. Original 7.5 in. painted dial, black Roman hour numerals, blued spade hands, dial signed Fashion, Patented Oct. 11th, 1875; lower calendar dial, good calendar hand, signed Southern Calendar Clock Co. St. Louis, Mo., lower dial is set on a hinged door. Has a Seth Thomas brass 8 day spring driven movement No. 5 7/8, manufactured by Seth Thomas Clock Co. for the Southern Calendar Clock Co, has deadbeat escapement, count wheel hour strike on a brass gilt bell, brass covered pendulum bob. Original calendar mechanism is in good running condition, has original paper labels on the brass barrels. Walnut case has turned columns on the sides, pointed finials on the arched top and round bezels around the original dial glasses. Clock is in good working condition, case is refinished; has some flaking to the calendar dial. 32 in. high x 16 in. wide x 6.5 in. deep
