French Bronze Figural Mantle Clock. On top of the clock is a seated figure of a woman wearing long flowing garments, she is leaning on her right hip with her feet to her left side, in her left hand she holds a bouquet of flowers and gazes down at a butterfly she is holding in her right hand; to the left is a standing woven basket which is overflowing with flowers, has aesthetic design throughout the base, standing on claw feet with inset porcelain panels in the front. 3.5 in. dia. porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals and pierced trefoil hands; typical round brass spring driven movement with bell strike, signed with Japy Freres 1855 Exposition mark. Suspension spring is broken. 14.75 in. high x 15 in. wide x 4.75 in. deep.
