French Figural Mystery Ball Swinger Clock. French cast spelter standing figure of man holding a goblet in his right hand, an amphora urn with grapes and vines surround his feet, unsigned, figure holds a post in his left hand from which the pendulum swings on an X suspension; has a medium copper toned original finish and is in good overall condition, the post that the figure holds is loose. 26 in. gridiron pendulum has a 5 in. ball top and spherical bob, the dial has applied brass Roman hour numerals with gilt filigree pierced hands; brass 8 day spring driven movement with half hour bell strike is contained behind the dial and is signed “Victor Debre, Horloge, Montdidier” numbered 151 and powers the mystery swinging pendulum. In running condition, nice original finish. 34 in. high. Weight: 16.5 lbs.
