GEORGE BLACKIE ENGLISH BOXED CHRONOMETER. George Blackie English fusee detent boxed chronometer with helical hairspring and maintaining power. The chronometer has gold spade and poker hands, slivered 100 MM dial signed "Prize Medal George Blackie Maker to the Admiralty, 24 Amwell Street London 1862 & 789". The silvered 3.5" dial has a large 37 MM seconds dial and a 29 MM up/down indicator dial. The dial has black Roman hour numerals and is in very nice condition. The chronometer has a good gimbaled brass tub, good bezel with glass crystal and all hardware. Original key included. The balance is pegged and a wheel has been secured with small wire onto a brass pillar. The clock does not wind. 7"W x 7.5"H x 7"D. Estimated Value $2,000 - 3,000.
