German Imperial Officer's Cavalry Sword, Germany, pre-WWI. Steel bird's head pommel; gray fishskin grip with brass wire wrapping. Steel pierced "honeysuckle" guard with dual slot for sword knot. Single-edged blade with fuller. Steel scabbard with one carrying ring. Scabbard and blade lightly pitted throughout. Blade is unique having grooved fuller on one side, flat surface on other side. Estimated Value$260 - 300.
