Description:

Gorham Coin Silver Pitcher. Large pitcher has a teardrop form with a wavy spout having a filigree decorated rim, handle has beaded appliques, stands on a raised foot rim with beaded edge; beautiful repousse design on the front with a large shield having cattails and ivy plants extending to the left side and grape vines extending to the right. Engraved and monogrammed in the shield “J.N.M. – From His Mother, Oct. 1863”. Signed with Gorham's Lion, Anchor & “G” hallmarks over “Coin”, pattern number 250 and signed by the retailer Crosby, Hunnewell & Morse, Coin, Boston. 11.5 in. high x 8.75 in. wide x 6.5 in. deep. Weight: 33.85 oz.
