Gorham Martele Silver Bowl. The finest of Gorham’s product lines, the 950-1000 silver purity made the metal softer and more malleable to be hand hammered to shape and hand chased to design; this particular bowl has a 2 in. wide rim having a wavy form with leaves and flowers, has 4 hammered feet and is in excellent condition having a fine hammered surface. Signed with Gorham hallmarks under an eagle with wings spread and reads “Martele”, silver purity .9584-1000 and initials “MME”; monogrammed “S.L.M.”. Measures 2.25 in. high x 10.5 in. dia. Weight: 28.6 oz.
