Inverted Pendulum Calendar Mantle Clock. The case has a 2 tone gilt and dark brown patina with overhanging cornice top, leafy borders and filigree decorated front feet; the pendulum swings from a gilt bronze riser on top of the case and is engaged by the crutch below. 5 in. porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals, sub seconds dial and open moon hands, gilt brass sash and gadrooned door bezel with convex glass, 3 sub dials in the base measuring 2.25 in. dia. indicate the “Day, Date & Month”; round brass 8 day spring driven movement has an half hour strike on a bell, pendulum crutch at the top of the movement, large brass gridiron pendulum with 2.75 in. silvered barometer dial contained in the pendulum bob. Clock is running, calendar mechanism is functional, in good overall condition. 29 in. high x 9 in. wide x 5.25 in. deep. Weight: 15.5 lbs.
