Iron Front Cigar Advertising Mantle Clock. Cast iron case front with 3 figural cherubs surrounded by filigree and grape vine clusters, round center medallion with tree and reads “Council Tree Cigar” and has a bundle of cigars below with an overall gilt finish; signed on the reverse “Made by Golden Nov. Mfg. Co., Chicago”. Original 3.5 in. paper dial signed “The Golden Novelty Mfg. Co.”, has black spade hands and black Roman hour numerals; brass spring driven time only movement, unsigned, with lever escapement. 15.5 in. high x 12 in. wide x 3.25 in. deep. Weight: 8.25 lbs.
