Has fancy pierced hands, brass dial w/ filigree and maker's plaque signed "John Caldwell", brass chapter ring w/ black Roman numerals and etched inner dial. English brass time and bell strike movement, weight driven w/ recoil escapement, rack and snail strike mechanism, 2 large brass weights, steel pendulum rod and iron bob. Walnut case has a broken arch crest with a finial on the bonnet and applied filigree with turned fluted columns. The body has fluted quarter columns and more applied carvings. In excellent condition and original finish.
