Description:

A "copper foiled" sculpture of the seated Nereid, Thitis, combing her long thick hair blowing in the wind; she wears a heavy robe, partially exposed feet at the bottom and the shoulder strap is slipping down her right arm. Behind her is a small figural harp with a dragon. Signed "E. Herter - Berlin 1895". In very good condition overall, has one weak spot in the lower section on the back side.
