MONUMENTAL KPM PLAQUE OF RUTH ARTIST SIGNED H. DITTRICH. This large and impressive hand painted porcelain plaque shows the famous portrait of Ruth in a wheat field with a bundle of wheat under her left arm. She wears a long flowing robe and head dress. The background shows a mild sunset sky in orange, gradating to blue at the top. Shows great detail in her hair, eyes and the wheat. In a carved and gilt frame. Signed in the lower right corner, H. Dittrich. Stamped in the back KPM, with the scepter mark. numbered 485-290. Also inscribed in the back "RUTH". In very good condition. No scratches or imperfections on the surface. 12"W x 20"H.
