Description:

Oak Model A Graphophone Cylinder Phonograph. The model A was the first model to be called "Columbia". Oak case with domed lid, silvered platform with black painted chassis, gilt leaves and red berries around the word "Graphophone". Spring driven mechanism with old aluminum, floating reproducer feeding directly into the black painted brass horn measuring 14 in. long x 6.5 in. dia. Case is in good condition, horn is out of round and has a few minor dings. Metal tag reads "The Graphophone, by the American Graphophone Company" Model A, serial number 51773. Overall dimensions 18 in. high x 11.5 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep.
