Description:

A fusee detent boxed chronometer with blued helical hairspring and maintaining power. Has gold spade hour hand and plain minute hand; 3.5" silvered dial with black Roman numerals, minute markers and Arabic 5 minute numbers on the chapter ring. 1.25" sub seconds dial and up/down indicator. Excellent condition, no staining, scratches or imperfections. Has a good gimbaled brass tub, bezel with glass crystal and hardware. Good running condition with brisk motion to the spring; solid chain. In a brass bound double hinged rosewood case. The plaque on the front reads "Peter Walther, 70 Pratt St, Baltimore". Complete w/ keys and original sales certificate from Bond & Son, Boston 1888.
