Description:

Remington New Model Army Revolver. 44 caliber 8" octagon barrel has a good bore. The top of the barrel is marked "Patented Sept 14 1858" over "E. Remington & Sons, Ilion, New York, U.S.A." over "New Model". The serial number is 48,185. The metal surfaces are mostly a silver gray but in very good condition with very minimal pitting. The hammer still retains some case colors. The wood grips are in very good condition and the right side has a very faint "45D" marked on it. The triggerguard is shiny brass and stamped with a "C" at the front. The left barrel flat near the frame and the left side frame above the hammer screw also have the letter C stamped on them. The action works well and the lock-up is tight. Estimated Value$900 - 1,400.
