Remington-Smoot New Model No. 1 Revolver. 2 13/16" octagon barrel is chambered for the 30 rimfire short cartridge and has a great bore-the top of the barrel is marked "E. Remington & Sons Ilion, NY Pat. W.S. Smoot Oct 21 1873" in one line. This is a nickel plated example in excellent condition except for lacking a recoil shield. Nickel finish is close to 95% and the hard rubber grips are excellent. The hammer has virtually all of its case colors. Estimated Value$450 - 550.
