RJ HORNER 3 DOOR FIGURAL CARVED BOOKCASE WITH GILT EMBELLISHMENTS. The top crest-rail shows carved, swirling filigree with north wind faces at the ends. Below has 3 glass doors with figural carved pilasters on the outside which include carved maidens on scrolled bases, holding a robe in one hand at their waist with a tied bow. The robe tapers into a flat pilaster with a hanging lions head and clustered fruit. The base of the pilasters shows leafy capitols and a double phoenix. The bookcase is in clean condition, painted white and showing gilt embellishments on the carvings and moldings. Adapted with glass shelves. 88"W x 67"H x 18"D.
