Description:

14" dial painted with black Roman numeral and minute indicators, black spade hour and minute hands, sub-seconds dial w/ exposed escapement. Plain "F" style self winding movement No. 81478, signed. Graham escapement, polished solid steel pinions, oscillating motor with a single pair of magnets winding the clock. Runs on 2 - 1.5V dry cell batteries, set on shelves on either side of the case (has original parts, but modified to operate on modern cells). No. 1 brass and steel mercury compensated pendulum. Has synchronizing unit in the case, tag on the unit is No. 20 - OHM. In an oak, No. 9 case with carved crests and door; original glasses. Stamped under the door by the cabinet maker "SM"; has original "Self Winding Clock Co." metal tag on the case, matching the movement # 81478.
