SETH THOMAS PILLAR & SCROLL CLOCK, CIRCA 1825. Seth Thomas 30 hour pillar and scroll mantle clock. The clock has a good label signed "patented by Eli Terry and sold by Seth Thomas". It has good weights, pendulum, and period style hands which are original to the clock. This clock has a thirty hour wood works typical pillar and scroll style movement which has been cleaned and is very light color. The clock has three good finials, has dust covers over the pulleys. Both scrolls are in good condition and do not show any breaks. The clock case is in good condition with minor imperfections. The lower door glass is primitive with paint loss. The dial is in very nice condition but does have minor paint loss in many spots. The clock has an inlaid escutcheon that is broken in one spot. The lock is taped off and apparently not working as the door lock is not working. 17.5"W x 31"H x 5"D.
