SIGNED GUILMET QUARTER DECK FRENCH INDUSTRIAL CLOCK. A black marble and gilt bronze "Quarter Deck" case with a sailor below and the captain at the stern, steering the ship. The railings, compass and lanterns at the top deck are intact. A ladder leads to the lower deck. The captain figure is connected to an "X" suspension with a compound pendulum bob below, he rocks back and forth steering the ship as the pendulum swings. The 8 day brass movement is signed GLT (Guilmet) Paris - numbered 1191 and strikes a coiled anvil on the hour.
