Stevens & Co. Funny Clown Mechanical Bank. Figure of an acrobatic clown seated on a sphere and on a filigree decorated plinth base with 4 filigree feet; the clown sits straddling the sphere, the spring driven mechanism is wound by rotating the sphere, when the lever is released the sphere spins clockwise and the clown springs up on top of the ball and performs a handstand. By J. E. Stevens & Co. c.1890, in good working condition, original paint, trap door missing. 9 in. high x 5 in. wide x 5 in. deep. Weight: 4.75 lbs.
