This chandelier is one of the earliest surviving examples of Tiffany's use of leaded glass panels that enclose a light source. The listing photographs for the lot show the chandelier in situ at the Church and the original sales receipts. Dating to the earliest phase of Louis Comfort Tiffany's lighting production, works from this period formed the foundation of what later became known as Tiffany Studios.
