US SPRINGFIELD TRAPDOOR CADET RIFLE MODEL 1884. 45-70 caliber with 29.5" barrel and decent bore. SN is 303,3xx. Rifle comes with a canvas sling. Metal has a brown to almost bronze tint to it, wood stock is good but has an eye-hook and rubber donut threaded into left side of butt used to mount gun on wall. Stock also has a metal tag tacked on left side with the number 33 on it. Front of barrel has a clip-on piece that covers the bottom 2/3 of the barrel and provides a channel for the cleaning rod. Main-spring is broken. 29.5"W. Estimated Value $450 - 650.
