ZIGLER OHIO 55 CALIBER TIGER MAPLE STOCK RIFLE. Percussion half stock rifle with tiger maple stock. 32.5" barrel is about 55 caliber and marked H. D. Ziegler. Ziegler had a shop in Portsmouth, Ohio from 1858-1866. Bore is good. Has a little pitting. Stock has shrunk around the lock and there's a chunk of wood missing at the tang behind the hammer and another piece in front of the nipple. Has a small cheekpiece. All mountings are brass. Front sight is missing, as is the ramrod. Estimated Value $550 - 750.
