Figural Conical Pendulum Mystery Clock. Standing spelter figure of a robed maiden, in her left hand she holds up the pendulum, has a copper toned finish; the spherical pendulum bob acts as the clock dial, it hangs from 3 chains under a large 4 spring suspension cluster. The spring driven movement signed “G.L.T., 6078” (Guilmet, Paris) is contained within the spherical bob, has a conical platform at the top, a long stalactite post drops in the center into the spinning horizontal bar at the top of the verge; the dial of the sphere has applied brass Roman hour numerals. A rare and unusual clock in good working condition, the horizontal spinning bar at the top of the sphere has been replaced with rigid wire, missing numeral 5, on a turned wood base. 28 in. high. Weight: 15.5 lbs.
